Janita completed her first 200-hour vinyasa teacher Training in South Africa in 2017, after practicing yoga for more than 15 years. She studied Buddhist philosophy and meditation in India in the same year and had the good fortune of continuing studies in mindfulness, philosophy and Tibetan movement practices with her Tibetan teachers during 2020. She has also completed a further 300 hour vinyasa teacher training as well as a 50 hour yin teacher training to be able to offer guidance in a variety of mindful movement practices. In addition to teaching in person, Janita facilitates international retreats and mindful experiences around the world and is currently teaching a new generation of yoga teachers together with her yoga partner in South Africa.
Beschrijving
This is a live class in our room upstairs, which you can also follow online via Zoom. In the yang yin classes, active yang yoga is combined with yin yoga. In the powerful yang part of the lesson the body is warmed up. You can work on building strength in your muscles through yoga postures, a flow or various exercises. In between you do some yin asana's which focus on stillness and relaxation whereby the deeper tissues in the body are touched, such as the joints, attachments and connective tissue. The class ends with a deep relaxation.
