Carla Morton
Carla found yoga during the lockdown of 2020 through online yoga classes and later found her “tribe” in the yoga community at the Aum Yoga Studio in Harlingen.
Inspired by her yoga teachers at Aum, she enrolled in 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training-Yoga Alliance Certification through the RGV Yoga School-Yoga Studio of Corpus Christi and will graduate in September 2024.
With a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Carla understands the role that a well-balanced yoga practice has for reducing stress and fatigue, increasing strength, flexibility, and endurance, and developing a general sense of well-being through regular practice.
She brings a love of yoga and a desire to help yogis of all levels achieve their best selves at any age and fitness level.
Description
Tone, strengthen, and stretch your body through yoga postures, breath work, and meditation. The class begins with a gentle warm up, a breathing technique, then a brief, guided meditation to get centered on the mat. It progresses through a few poses to build strength, develop balance, and increase flexibility. It ends in a final savasana for a centered mind and a relaxed body. This class is appropriate for all levels and focuses on body alignment, mobility, and the use of props to accommodate all abilities.
