Leona Dinopol
Leona is the founder of Bodhi Yoga Center. She has dedicated herself to the practice of yoga for more than a decade. Her yoga practice began in the Ashtanga tradition and gradually expanded to the realms of Classical Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Pranayama and Meditation.
Her practice and teaching style have evolved from a heavily physical experience to a more mindfulness-based curation of fluid and biomechanically-safe movements, breathing exercises, and reflective meditation.
In 2015, she opened the doors to Bodhi Yoga Center GenSan, a humble yoga school in Southern Philippines, with the vision of offering yoga teacher training courses for practitioners who aspire to become yoga teachers. Seven years later, Bodhi Yoga Center emerged in Siargao, where the community continues to grow and thrive.
Bodhi Yoga Center is the intersection of Leona's pursuit of the yogic path and her extensive business education. Her vision is to build Bodhi as a mindful local business that makes a meaningful impact to the life of every student who walks through its doors.
Description
A Yin Yoga class is a serene and introspective practice that focuses on long-held, passive poses, typically on the floor. Participants engage in deep stretching, targeting connective tissues and joints. The emphasis is on surrendering into each pose, fostering flexibility, releasing tension, and promoting a meditative state. The practice aims to restore balance and cultivate mindfulness.
