Description
Yin yoga is a more mediative style of yoga that includes specific passive poses (mainly performed sitting up or lying down) that are held for an extended time, usually 3 to 10 minutes. Yin Yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fasciae, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Yin Yoga gives Space both within the physical body and the mind.
