Helen is a registered and qualified Level 1 Yoga Australia Teacher after completing 350hrs of Yoga Teacher Training.
Since then, she has completed courses and workshops on Restorative, Chair and Yoga for Kids.
She continues her journey to grow her knowledge in many other aspects of yoga including Breath Work (Pranayama), Meditation.
Her goal is to live yoga and provide her students with an enlightening yoga experience.
Description
This workshop is for beginners who want to discover mediation or regular practioners of meditation to grow and develop their practice.

What we do during a meditation class
We sit for a bit...on a chair or on a cushion/bolster/mat or a bit of both
We begin with a settling-in process which is important each time you sit down to meditate. It's about sending your mind (and ego) some "triggers" that for the next 5 (or 10 or 30) minutes you will be in control of what fills your mind. We are re-training our minds to be more easeful, peaceful and
useful.
We do 2 or 3 meditation techniques from different traditions so you can find what works for you
We work together on stilling the body, calming the breath and slowing the thoughts
We work on "turning down the volume" on the distracting data we receive through our 5 senses - sight, sound, touch, smell, taste.
We have time to share observations or ask questions or just listen
Meditation can enhance our ability to concentrate, decrease our stress levels, balance our emotional states and put our world into perspective. It can open us up to a part of ourselves that is free from judgment, free from expectation and free from desire. A part of ourselves that is content, present, peaceful and joyful.
