I promise...this is NOT your Grandma's chair yoga class! This is an active yoga class structured to build strength & stability without having to be on the floor. This class is open to everyone from the beginner student who wants to learn the fundamentals or for the student recovering from injury or surgery or for those who have movement restrictions and/or difficulties sitting on the floor or putting weight on their hands and wrists. The class consists of a balanced mix of ACTIVE seated and standing movements using a chair for support and balance if necessary. This is a great class to begin your yoga journey! 5 minutes of centering, 15 minutes of seated movements and 35 minutes of ACTIVE standing poses + 5 minute Savasana (relaxation).
