Description
Ashtanga is a dynamic form of yoga which follows a set sequence of postures (asanas). As you get to know the postures, there is more space to focus on breath (ujjayi), which is central to making this practice a moving mediation. In this class I will guide you through the Half Primary Series, which works on opening the hips and hamstrings, as well as cleansing the internal organs. We begin with Sun Salutations and then move through a series of standing and seated postures to strengthen the whole body and improve flexibility. I offer verbal and hands-on assists to support students to safely access deeper asana and alignment.
