Description
This class is for everyone. Yin is a slow, meditative practice done on cool bones. This practice is based on three principles called Tattvas.
1. Come to the appropriate depth or edge for you,
2. Settle into a sweet spot, and resolve to stay,
3. Let go, be patient, let time flow.
Yin targets the deepest fascia connective tissue in and around muscles, ligaments and tendons. It is based on the Taoist tradition. Shapes (postures) are held for periods of time beginning with a three minute hold.
"Yin is not supposed to be comfortable and is practiced to the edge of uncomfortable/comfortable." - Bernie Clark. Yin focus is less muscle energy, less movement.
