Description
By adding load to mindful movement, we will gain strength and improve range of motion, balance and coordination.
When we apply the right amount of load to the body it will adapt and get stronger.
When loads are gradually increased over time we develop strength. Being mindful about when and how much load to add is integral in this progressive approach. We add load by using body weight, bands, and dumbbells. If you do not have weights or bands, you can get creative and find things around your home to use. (cans, stretchy tights etc)
Learning new movements, or doing old movements in different ways, is a great way to get the body progressing in a new direction. We affect more than just our tissues when we demand something out of the ordinary. Remember your body loves and yearns for variety!!
