Progressive Hatha Yoga is an intermediate level of Hatha Yoga practice that builds upon the foundational principles of traditional Hatha Yoga.
With 56 postures 2 breathing exercises, it typically involves a more dynamic and challenging approach compared to beginner-level Hatha Yoga. This practice incorporates a series of asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation techniques aimed at enhancing physical strength, flexibility, and mental clarity. It may also delve deeper into the philosophical aspects of yoga, such as mindfulness and self-awareness. The term "progressive" suggests a gradual advancement in complexity and intensity as practitioners become more proficient in their yoga practice.
Jays started his yoga journey more than a decade ago to support a friend who opened a yoga studio. But this unexpectedly sparked a lifelong passion for the mental, physical and spiritual benefits that yoga can bring.The benefits of yoga made a big impact on his perception of physical activity, he could get so many outcomes from it, mentally calming the mind and making healthier choices, physically without running or lifting weights and spiritually feeling more connected to the universe and Mother Nature.



Jays completed Bikram yoga teacher training in Cobargo under Amrei Marden and 17 times world champion, teacher and Guru Dev Kapel, in November 2023. He then when on to complete his Teacher training in Progressive Hatha Yoga ( intermediate yoga) in March 2024. Jays also has a level 2 qualification in Yoga Sports and likes to compete, taking out 1st place in the Australian masters , Yoga Sport Nationals and coming 2nd in the Yoga day International championship in 2023.
