ABOUT THE COURSE ⤵️
We devised this foundation course for anyone looking for a thorough introduction to Pilates, or as a refresher to return to regular practice.
This course will progressively explore Pilates movement principles by taking you through all of the pre-Pilates exercises and the Basic 10 Pilates Mat exercises.
Madira is passionate about helping students build up their strength and mobility gradually, ensuring each movement flows into the next. You’ll experience the joy of progressive movement and increased range of motion with each class, making it accessible and safe for beginners.
Through this journey, you will grow your strength and movement vocabulary so that you can participate in more advanced classes confidently.
In this small-group setting, students will receive individual attention and have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and examine many aspects of the Pilates method.
At the end of the course, our intention is that you will have enough understanding and familiarity with basic Pilates exercises to feel prepared to join more advanced Pilates classes. You will leave having experienced the strengthening, stabilising, and balancing benefits of the Pilates method on your body, mind and spirit.
This course is not appropriate for students will injuries or osteoporosis
