Yoga has been a part of my life since I can remember. I have had many great teachers along the way, but one thing I have learnt is that yoga means something different to everyone! It has taken many different pathways to discover what it really means to me, and at the heart of it is the breath. Simply - when I breathe better, I feel better, I live better. There are many layers to add on to this simple starting point - I move better, I am more aware, my mind is quieter - more sensing, less thinking … Just 3 minutes of mindful breathing can be done anywhere and completely change how we feel, and everyone should know how to do it! Whether you put it into fast paced dynamic movements, slow flows and postures held for longer, or choose a more restful, floor-based practise, learning how to self regulate through the conscious breath is the invisible connection to our well-being. What I wish for anyone deciding to start yoga is ultimately to discover what it means for you, so you can choose and develop your own set of practices to support your everyday life … and feel better.

Description

Intensity - Easy/Modersate

Yin Yoga is mainly floor based and holding a relaxed postures for 3-5 minutes. This exerts positive stress on the subtle body tissues as a way to trigger the body’s natural repair response, thus leading to stronger and more supple joints.
