Description
This practice is a more meditative approach to yoga. It combines long, but supported yoga stretches that teach us how to sit and breathe through life’s challenges. All postures are done on the floor with props to support them. Each pose is held for several minutes, stretching the connective tissue in the joints. During the class, the teacher will move from person to person offering Reiki. (You can always opt out of the reiki portion if you do not want to be touched) Expect a long savasana or yoga nidra with sound healing. Sound healing is a vibrational clearing through the harmonics of singing bowls, a gong, and other instruments. This is a restorative release for mind, body, and soul!

Our ultimate goal with Yoga is to align mind, body, and spirit. This class is designed to teach you HOW your body is moving and working as we flow from pose to pose. Class will combine flow and active alignment cues to build awareness of how our bodies are always engaged in the present moment. With practice, the awareness of the body can inform awareness of the mind and how we can use our yoga practice to calm our thoughts. This is an intermediate class, but all levels are welcome. Prior yoga experience may be helpful.

Description
Allow yourself to decompress and de-stress during a reiki-infused yin class. Yin yoga allows for a deeper stretch within the body. The connective tissues, joints, ligaments, and fascia are stimulated through 3-5 minute holds in each posture. Moving slowly and intentionally allows these areas of the body to be worked with. This class gives students the opportunity to find complete stillness in postures and feel the body, mind, and energy. This class also incorporates reiki healing and chakra tuning forks from the teacher.
