Olya K
Olya is the founder of the studio and a yoga and Pilates teacher.
Her yoga journey began about 15 years ago while traveling through India and Nepal. Her passion for yoga and meditation led her to sacred places such as the Sivananda Ashram, Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore, Kaivalya Yoga Institute in Pune, Vipassana Meditation retreats, and many others.
In 2012, Olya pursued her passion further by completing a 900-hour Comprehensive Yoga Teacher Training at The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, India, and a 60-hour Thai Massage Training at the Shivagakomarpaj School of Thai Massage at The Old Medicine Hospital in Thailand.
After moving to New York, she completed the Balanced Body Pilates program in 2019.
Olya teaches yoga with a focus on the connection between movement and breath, muscle strengthening, enhanced flexibility, and improved balance. She also incorporates Thai Massage techniques to help increase flexibility, improve joint mobility, and release emotional and mental stress stored in the muscles.
She sincerely desires to share with others how to live in a healthy body and harmony with the mind.
Description
Vinyasa is an approach to yoga in which you move from one pose directly into the next. There's a flow to a Vinyasa yoga session, though the specific poses and the pace of the flow vary from one instructor to the next.
This class typically refers to a yoga class suitable for practitioners of varying experience levels. In these classes, the instructor usually offers modifications and variations to accommodate both beginners and more advanced students. It’s a great opportunity to explore and deepen your practice, regardless of your skill level.
All levels are welcome!
