Mookaite Jasper
Mookaite (they / them) is a non-binary teacher who has been practicing yoga for 10 years. They are passionate about inclusive and accessible yoga, and believe that yoga is for all bodies. Since completing their 200 hours training in York with YogaCampus, Mookaite went on to qualify as a Yin Yoga teacher (also with YogaCampus) and also studied with the Accessible Yoga School. They are training to become a Gentle Years teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga, to teach chair yoga to older adults.
Mookaite comes to yoga through a mental health lens, with movement and meditation forming a big part of their own self-care living with bipolar disorder. They founded Queer Yoga North in Saltburn and Middlesbrough, to share the mental health benefits of yoga with others in the LGBTQIA+ community.
