Description
We invite you to join Emily Sustar, RPYT, 500 RYT, and Chelsea Barnes, PTA, for a special 4 week Yoga + Strength series for postpartum individuals! We are proud to offer this series FREE to the community through grant funding in collaboration with Gundersen Health from UW School of Medicine and Public Health to improve maternal and infant health and healthy equity in WI. By removing the barrier of cost, individuals of all backgrounds and abilities are empowered to support their physical and mental health in the postpartum period.
Whether you are 6 weeks or 5+ years postpartum, this series will focus on education and movement to empower you to be a STRONG mama. Each week will focus on a different educational topic (i.e. diastasis, pelvic floor, feeding posture, etc) and our yoga + strength practices will support and complement each other. We will give you tools for better movement & breath mechanics, nervous system regulation, rehabbing the body post birth, plus strength building movements. We will start with functional breath and foundational movements and progress each week to meet you where you are at.
Postpartum Yoga with Emily meets Mondays at 12pm and Postpartum Strength with Chelsea meets Wednesdays at 12pm. You are welcome to bring your non-mobile baby with you, or take this time without baby just for you and your healing.
March 24th - April 16th
