In my classes students can expect to build up a sweat with dynamic movement and breath, exploring some longer holds to build strength and stability. Accessible to all levels and there will be plenty of options to add in some arm balances and inversions if the mood takes you, or, keep it flowy and enjoy the energy.

Description

A hot HIIT yoga class is an energizing and challenging fusion of yoga and high-intensity interval training, all performed under the infrared lights. The heat increases circulation, encourages detoxification through sweating, and helps to loosen muscles for deeper stretches.

The class typically starts with a dynamic warm-up, incorporating sun salutations and flowing movements to activate the muscles and prepare the body for more intense work. Then, students move into a series of HIIT intervals, where short bursts of high-effort movements.

Each interval is designed to boost cardiovascular endurance, build strength, and enhance flexibility, often incorporating yoga-inspired movements like Warrior III or Chair Pose to challenge balance and stability. Between intervals, there may be opportunities for deep stretches to release built-up tension and prepare for the next round.

The class concludes with a cool-down sequence that includes restorative yoga poses to stretch out the muscles and bring the heart rate down, followed by a final Savasana to absorb the practice. The combination of heat, intensity, and mindful breath work leaves participants feeling invigorated and accomplished.
