Yoga Nidra - The Power of Rest

Connecting to your heart, travelling through different layers of consciousness to expand your awareness in order to wake up to your full potential, beyond the limitations of the mind.

This is not a yoga nap, or replacement for sleep, or same as meditation nor is it a hypnosis. In Yoga Nidra you are your own guru.

In Meditation there is one point of focus, in Yoga Nidra there is no focus, the practise of surrender.

It is also known as Yogic Sleep just because you go through the same brainwaves as if you were in a deep sleep, relaxing the mind to awaken the heart. With the same benefits for the body as deep restful sleep.

Practiced in stillness, laying down on the back the whole time, this is the perfect practice for rest and healing for it allows you to soothe your nervous system.

It is incredibly restorative, with 1 hour of Yoga Nidra being the equivalent to 4 hours of sleep for the benefits it has on the physical body.
