I began practicing yoga more than 20 years ago and have never looked back. The initial purpose of my taking yoga was to find a compliment to an intense cardio and weight training regimen but it quickly became something more. The physical sensations began to take a back seat to the intrinsic benefits that came from the breath work and meditation that exists within a yoga practice. I slowly began to incorporate more yoga and less high intensity workouts, flipping the original pattern. Not only did I notice my mind reacting but also my body, I became stronger physically with much less damage to my joints and muscles. It became obvious that yoga held a special place within me, and I decided I wanted to share this amazing gift with others. I began yoga teacher training in 2014 and have been teaching ever since. I see the affects yoga has on my students and I am overjoyed that they often have the same realization that I had, you don’t need to fight your body, but instead connect all its parts; the physical, emotional, as well as spiritual and you will achieve an overall wellness that cannot be matched.

Description

We are delighted to offer a Workshop designed for those who are new to Yoga, those looking for a refresher, or who want to just focus on the basics! We will cover common poses that you will encounter in a class, proper alignment, and modifications.
The pace of this class is designed to invite participant questions so you leave confident about participating in Yoga!

Cost is $60
Classes are Sundays: 1/15, 1/22, 1/29
Time: 5:30-6:30pm
