Marjolein is originally from the Netherlands and now based with her family in Aotearoa. She began her yoga journey in The Netherlands with a classical hatha training and continued following trainings and teaching classes around the world. She have completed Yoga Alliance registered trainings in classical hatha yoga, pre-and postnatal yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra and transformational yoga. She is a sincere yoga lover, dedicated mum, travel addict, foodie and nature lover at heart... Passionate about inspiring others to improve their wellbeing and live a joyful life.

Description

Emma is offering a complimentary prenatal yoga class to the Yoga Roots community as a way to give back and share the benefits of yoga with expecting mama's. She hopes that participants will leave the class feeling stronger, more relaxed, and more connected to themselves and their babies. By providing this free class, she aims to create a welcoming and supportive environment where mamas-to-be can experience the transformative power of prenatal yoga.

Emma's unique approach, combining her trauma-informed background with her nurturing teaching style, makes her classes a special experience for all participants. She is honored to support and guide expectant mothers during this beautiful journey.

About Emma Stone:
Emma is a compassionate and experienced yoga teacher, holding a 500-hour trauma-informed yoga certification with four years of teaching experience. Recently, she has completed her prenatal yoga certification, driven by a deep desire to support expectant mothers during their pregnancy journey.

Personal Motivation:
Emma's journey to becoming a prenatal yoga teacher was inspired by her wish to offer a dedicated, nurturing space for mothers-to-be. She believes that pregnancy is a unique and transformative time that calls for special attention to both physical and emotional well-being. Her goal is to empower women by focusing on building strength, fostering relaxation, and creating a sense of community.

Emma's teaching style is nurturing and supportive. She aims to provide her students with a comprehensive experience that promotes relaxation, strength, and a strong sense of community. Her trauma-informed background ensures that her classes are inclusive and adaptable to the needs of each individual.

Arrival Details
The studio opens at 6.45pm > it's great if you can arrive latest at 6.50pm, so you'll have some extra time to settle into the space and get to know your fellow mama's.

Please wear comfortable clothes, especially something that feels soft and stretchy around your belly.

Yoga mats, blankets and props are all provided.

It’s best to have a min 2 hour gap between your dinner and class. Depending on where you are in your pregnancy, but especially in the 3rd trimester, earlier dinners are better anyway to avoid acid reflux.

Please bring a water bottle to hydrate after class.
