Description
Last stop before Christmas.

For Fridays in December, join Lucy for a series of heart warming Friday evening Yoga-Socials.

Special guest Miriam Mattis, as a trained sound therapist and classically trained vocalist, Miriam weaves intuitive connection through sound and music. Miriam Mattis is staying with Yoga in the Stars for a few months and will be exploring the space between music and sound and connection.

As your yoga practice comes to ground, you will be invited to further deepen your inward connection through sounds and harmony, finding space between breath and mind, riding on the waves of ambient sound.

The purpose of a Yoga-Social is to create a free space to experience different aspects of health and connection. The Yoga-Social was funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, and is now funded by the Yoga in the Stars Community, the members and regulars who make giving possible.

The purpose of the Friday gatherings is to create serenity and togetherness before Christmas, a small oasis of calm, warm light through mindful practice, giving, receiving and music.

Grace of Vinyasa - what to expect at the class

A slow, spiritual, but strong Vinyasa practice for the whole body for all levels. Expect longer held pauses for mind-body connection and guided breath cues to help guide you through this deep and sometimes challenging practice.
The beginning of the class will allow you to create a space for reconnection with your inner Self through opening meditation and pranayama(breath extension), which should remain as a part of your practice for the rest of the session.
Towards the end you can expect
grounding sequence in order to slow down the breath and reflect on your experience on the mat.

This session is truly for everyone, regardless the genders, ages and abilities.
Slow and graceful pace of the class will help you to learn how to listen to your body and gain the strength, not just physically, but mentally at the first place.

Often using of the yoga props along with many adjustments tor
the poses are welcoming everyone to explore the silence inside, even if it seems to be very challenging sometimes. Same like a life itself.

This Yoga practice is about quieting of the fluctuations of the mind and creating a relationship with our mind, rather than being constantly in a separation and uncontrollable fight inside. Through the conscious and mindful movements along with a breath, you will be guided to stay present and take most of the experience off the mat into your daily life.
