Courtney Jarrell
Courtney Jarrell first found yoga as a way to deal with the stress and anxiety of college life. While she found the postures good for her physical health, it was really the breathwork and positive effects on the mind that led Courtney to deepen her practice and seek out a teacher training program.
In 2009 she got her 200 hour Hatha Yoga Certification from the Davenport School of Yoga in Davenport, Iowa. Since then, she has been teaching a variety of yoga classes from aerial yoga in Iowa to restorative and adaptive classes in Utah. In 2020 she deepened her training with the Prenatal Yoga Certification from Yoga Education Institute.
Her passion is teaching alignment-based Hatha yoga of all levels. Her classes are open to all, offering students options to deepen their practice if they desire or offering modifications to fit their individual needs and restrictions. Courtney believes all people are able to do yoga and invites everyone to join her class.
Description
Yin is a slower paced form of yoga with longer holds (90 seconds to 5+ minutes) that is designed to reach the body's connective tissue. More of a mental practice than physical, yin reduces stress and is designed to help with both physical relaxation and mental clarity. This class is beginner friendly, but also great for experienced yogis!
