Sarah Pound
Sarah Pound started her journey with yoga twenty years ago, as a teenager before it became as widely popular in the West. Her background in dance and athletics drew her to the practice and she fell in love. With over 350 hours of teacher training, Sarah started studying to become a teacher in 2010. Ever since, she has taught students at all levels and she particularly enjoys teaching through a restorative lens. This approach was augmented after having her two daughters, when she used a pre-natal and post-natal yoga practice to help her thrive and heal (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually). Sarah also has many years experience teaching chair yoga in longterm care homes. She has a bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy, is a singer-songwriter, and often ends her classes with ‘a sung blessing’ that she learned many years ago from one of her teacher trainings. She is enthusiastic about mindfulness, meditation, balance work and restoring peace, strength and harmony to the body. Sarah is thrilled to be offering Yoga with Sarah in many pop-up studio locations around the Annapolis Valley!
