Hey I’m Natalie 🌻 Nature enthusiast, Ocean advocate and Yoga practitioner. After many years working underwater and tuning into nothing but the breath, I wanted to find the same stillness above the water as below. This journey led me to yoga. Teaching and practicing in a variety of styles has given me a deeper understanding of balance between our yin and Yang energies and the importance of play, expression and creativity. I am over the moon to be able to share this beautiful lifestyle with you, the roots of our practices being deeply grounded in balance and the movement of energy ⚡

By slowing the mind and the beats of the heart, we will take a journey of powerful connection into the body, mind and soul. Working through the five elements to bring balance to both the physical and subtle body.

This is your opportunity to tune into the body and observe the mind.

The elements according to Yin -

Wood element : Gall Bladder and Liver Meridian lines

Fire element : Small Intestine and Heart Meridian Lines

Earth element : Stomach and Spleen Meridian Lines

Metal element : Lungs and Large Intestine Meridian Lines

Water element : Kidney and Urinary Bladder Meridian lines

Yin Yoga Principles
The three principles of Yin (the three Tattvas)
1. Come into the pose to an appropriate depth (find your edge and diminish the Ego)
2. Resolve to remain still (unless your body opens and allows you to go deeper)
3. Hold the pose for prolonged periods of time (1-20 minutes)

By following the three Tattvas of Yin, we are able work past the superficial layers of the body - tapping into our energy channels (meridian lines/Nadis) in a similar way to acupressure, as well as working into the deeper connective tissues of the body, such as the Tendons, Ligaments and Joint capsules.
