If you are a beginner and looking for a slow and perfect foundation into your asana and pranayama practice and knowledge, the 4 Weeks Beginners course is an amazing offering to get that right start where you don't feel lost in a class while everyone already knows the sequence or terms the teacher is using in a yoga class.
What do you learn:
Week 1 -The teacher will introduce you to deep warm-up stretches you could incorporate before getting into Sun salutations or Asanas. You will practice some standing postures and be introduced to the experience of creating stability in the feet and legs. You will learn about the concept of alignment in the standing postures.
Week 2 -You will try some new postures including a shoulder openers. In the standing poses, you will learn how a familiar posture can be practiced in different ways to improve specific actions. Here we also begin step by Step Practice of Sun Salutations.
Week 3 You will revise the sun salutations and the incorporation of breathwork while doing the poses, so that you don't feel breathless and yet comfortably have the stamina to do many reps These are introduced with a clear and methodical approach.
Week 4 Some sitting and forward bending poses which develop flexibility of the knee and hip joints will be introduced. Your teacher will also give you more information about the practice of Savasana, corpse pose.
This week, we also introduce more seated poses and some more pranayama along with the revision of what was taught in the previous week This week you will also attempt for forward bends.
