Hi I'm Emma! I've been practicing yoga regularly since around 2008 and in October 2018 completed my 200 hours teacher training, more recently I've also qualified as a Menopause Wellness and Sleep coach. I've always kept physically fit but I love that yoga goes further and provides both the mind and body with fulfilment which feels so good. My classes provide a blend of gentle challenge along with mindful movement. My teaching style is down to earth and rooted in making everyone feel welcome and included. Alongside yoga, I'm a wanderluster and love to be on a sunny beach or snowboarding down a mountain!
Description
A class designed around the fundamentals of yoga. Each week you will be guided through an introduction and revisiting of yoga poses, including alignment tips. You’ll be guided to use your breath intentionally to enhance each posture. You will experience yoga sequences that link one posture to another following a theme. You will practice breath awareness and pranayama (breath control practices). Some quiet contemplation is an important element of a yoga class. This class is suitable for beginners and experienced yogis alike.
Suitable for all levels. Beginners to anyone seeking to revisit the fundamentals.

Charlotte Coates
Charlotte's passion for yoga started in 2013 after relocating to Cheltenham.
To complement strength training she soon realised the value yoga had on her mind as well as her body. Working in an office meant that her time on the mat was valuable and necessary after a long days work.
After completing 200 hr Vinyasa Teacher Training in 2016, Charlotte left her full time office job to become a yoga teacher and massage therapist.
Knowing how every single body is different and everyone goes on their separate journeys throughout the day, Charlotte encourages that connection with the body and mind, helping to ensure her students get what they need from their practice at that time. Charlotte's classes are fun, dynamic with some strong poses to push her students to get the most out of their precious time but then allows space for softness.
Her love for music comes across in her classes, and she strives for people to enjoy themselves and find their flow.

I was initially drawn to yoga to complement my gym based fitness. Within a few classes I was hooked, drawn by not only the effect Yoga had on me physically but also emotionally and mentally.
Yoga teaches you how to really listen to, and connect with, your body, your breath, and your mind. This connection is fundamental not only to my own personal practice, but also to my teaching.
Drawing from the flow of Vinyasa and Hatha yoga and also the more passive and longer held postures of Yin yoga, my classes include a combination of flowing postures and held postures, to challenge the body in different ways, enabling deeper exploration of the practice and all the positive effects that Yoga brings.
I hope that you will leave my classes feeling not only more flexible, stronger and invigorated, but also calmed, balanced and restored.

Helena means in ancient Greek ‘Bringer of Light’.
She grew up in Clifton, Bristol, spent time in Ecuador, Japan and Belgium, though her main home is Cheltenham. Whilst living in Japan as a young woman she was influenced by their Buddhist and Shinto traditions.
Back in England Helena trained as a Personal Trainer and Aerobics Instructor. This lead to her interest about how the mind effects the body and vice versa, and I became a Neuro Linguistic Programming Therapist. Following this Helena’s wellbeing and happiness profoundly shifted when then studied Nutritional Healing.
Her regular Yoga practise progressed to her training in India as a teacher. She is very grateful to her Yoga teachers in India for inspiring her to share her light, be authentic and live her life with purpose and service.
Helena loves teaching Yoga and Meditation. For her Yoga is a lifestyle, She does not just teach a set of stretches, She shares ways of releasing tension, connecting to yourself, becoming more spiritual, mindful, confident, kind and compassionate.
