About Bec Isaacs / Yoga
I have practiced in many different countries with incredible renowned teachers. I have completed thousands of hours of teacher training and have been a full time teacher and teacher trainer in Byron Bay, Australia since 2016. I have an extensive background in anatomy, physiology, psychology and biomechanics and love bringing functional movement practices to the traditional teachings. I am devoted to sharing yoga in a way that is safe, accessible, and honours my teachers and the tradition.
I now teach traditional Tantric Hatha Yoga under the influence of the Himalayan Tradition (Sri Vidya), Breath Centred Yoga, Remedial Informed Yoga and I am part of the Creature Yoga family in Byron Bay. I believe in practical spirituality and have experienced first hand the benefits of Yoga and the way the practice and the philosophy behind it can support us as we explore what it takes to be human.
I am and always will be a student first and a teacher second and so I would like to honour my many and amazing teachers, Maria Kirsten (Viniyoga, remedial Yoga, Yoga for mental health), Clive Sheridan (pranayama, tantra, and classical Yoga), Rose Baudin (pranayama, Tantra), Dena Kingsberg (ashtanga vinyasa), Libbie Nelson (yoga therapy), Karina Guthrie (traditional yoga & philosophy), The Samadhi collective (Sanskrit & recitation), and my teachers within the Himalayan Tradition (yoga, philosophy and meditation).
It is my mission to support others as they explore their own bodies and breath, the wisdom of the tradition, and the connection between Yoga and the mind. I truly believe that through the philosophical worldview and practices of Yoga, we all have the opportunity to suffer less, by remembering why we are here (dharma), and through this we can connect to ourselves and others more deeply and live our lives more meaningfully and purposefully.
