More focus on breath work during this Metal practice. Breath or Pranayama is the fourth of the eight rungs of Patanjali’s sutras. Its role is to regulate the breath to render it slow and subtle leading to the experience of a steady flow of energy beyond or underneath exhalation, inhalation and the transitional pauses. It is a key stage for the mind to acquire the capability for concentration needed to meditate.
