This class provides the opportunity for you to deeply connect with yourself and start your day right. We work with traditional Hatha poses in a playful and intuitive way. Allowing ourselves to tap into what feels good and what we are needing in the moment. There will be moments of fluid and dynamic movement and moments of welcoming in stillness and softness. Each to be soaked up and nourished into the body and mind, ready for the day!

Hi I’m Emily, In a typical Hatha yoga class with me, we explore a set of physical postures through embodied, creative movement and static holds with emphasis on the breath throughout. Classes end with a guided relaxation. Classes follow a theme so that we can make connections and build on the movement and breathing practices as we journey through a series of classes together.

Description

This class will begin with some breath work followed by a short warm up building up into a short flow. The first half of the class is aimed at building heat in the body and our flow will be structured around building strength as well and flexibility and mobility. Once we’ve moved our bodies and we are nice and warm we will slowly transition into a restorative yin practice for the second half of the class. During the yin we will hold poses for longer, going deeper into the stretch. A great chance for the mind and body to release, and de stress.

Description

During this class we will flow though a variety of poses and explore not only strength but also flexibility, mobility and balance. In yoga we often think about flexibility but it’s really important that we also build strength during our practice. As we flow through different poses we will play around with building strength through pulses, balancing, slow transitions and repetition. This class can be adapted to suit different levels and there will always be the option to challenge yourself.

Description

After recovering from a broken and dislocated collar bone at the start and the pandemic, Jen found that her normal movement routine no longer supported her body. Jen rediscovered her joy for Pilates; kind low impact movement that still packed a punch! A few years practice later Jen was the strongest she’d ever been both mentally and physically and wanted to share the amazing benefits with others. Jen trained and qualified in 2022, left her full time office role and hasn’t looked back!
Jen is an upbeat, positive and energetic person and you’ll experience this vibe in her classes. Jen is classically trained but her flow is heavily influenced by her time living in Sydney Australia so expect a contemporary, dynamic and fun class rooted in Pilates fundamentals. Come and experience the Pilates burn!

On Thursdays we play around and explore how we can move when we are on the mat. Our sequences always have elements of balance, strength building, flexibility and mobility but you’ll need to keep your brain working and expect some funky transitions. After we have worked the body we will end the class with a few restorative poses to allow the mind to quieten and to bring softness into the body.

Welcome in the New Year with me. After the chaos of the festive season its time to bring some relaxation back. Join me for some much needed yin. Our yin class will be focus on release with the poses targeting the hips (an area where we often hold on to a lot of emotions). We will bring our awareness to our goals for the year as we notice what we would like to let go of and what we would like to invite in. After the yin we will take a moment to journal and set our intentions for the year ahead. Of course there will be time for tea.
