NOT SURE WHAT HIIT PILATES IS? A combination of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Pilates. HITT means performing short bursts of intense activity which effectively work the entire body. The combination of switching from HIIT to Low intensity (more controlled movements from the Pilates repertoire) makes for a dynamic workout that will have you breaking a good sweat and working the body to its maximum potential!

It’s efficient! HIIT exercises can achieve great results in a short space of time. So if you are looking for quick results, our HITT Pilates class is one of the most effective classes you can do. You’ll burn more FAT! You’ll lose weight, not muscle! Not only will you burn calories, but the effect of intense exercise will kick your body’s repair cycle into hyperdrive, meaning you will burn more fat and calories after your workout than you would be doing something like steady cardio. You’ll build a healthy heart! HIIT will push you into your anaerobic zone which means that you are exercising your heart to make it healthier. You’ll build your metabolism! HIIT stimulates human growth hormone (HGH) which is responsible for increasing your metabolism and slowing down the ageing process. So you will look and feel younger too! The flow focuses on exploring the relationship between mind, body and breath as well as building muscle strength. The class starts slow-developing the pace - one breath, one movement.

Hot yoga stimulates your body to perform workouts better than regular yoga. It flexes your muscles better than traditional yoga, meaning your body responds faster to the conditions necessary for successful weight loss. After every session, your muscle activity and metabolism are enhanced. 
Higher temperature tells your body to work harder to bring down the heat. It increases your heart rate and metabolic activity. In this condition, your muscles become more flexible to hold a pose for an extended time. You breathe much deeper as you try to focus on the stretch and keep it as long as you can. The longer you hold these poses and breathe deeper, the better the circulation in your body.

Utilising the traditional mat exercises developed by Joseph Pilates our Pilates mat classes focus on stabilising the core, improving posture and strengthening the total body! Working on mobility and flexibility, will improve your natural range of motion and will remove stiffness all around your body. These classes use your body weight and the “Pilates Magic Ring” which is a small prop made from soft metal that allows it to bend slightly while providing firm resistance. This helps one to condition the body safely and get a toned, lean body faster.
