Description

Carve out time in your week to explore your relationship with yourself. Yin Yoga is a slow paced, more meditative version of yoga that can be intense or gentle. In Yin Yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time (typically 3 to 7 minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues of ligaments & fascia rather than focusing on the muscles. As a result, the asanas are more passive holds, with little muscular engagement.
The Three Principles of Yin Yoga Practice
1. Come into the pose to an appropriate depth.
2. Resolve to remain still.
3. Hold the pose for time.

She found yoga during a challenging period in her life, and it has since transformed her journey in countless ways. Holding a 200-hour teacher certification and registered with Yoga Alliance, she has also pursued additional training in Yin and Mindfulness. Passionate about lifelong learning, Lora continues to deepen her practice and share its benefits with others.

In this class we will be moving slower through our yoga practice making it easy to follow along as we work on breath, balance & increased flexibility. We also combine some slower Yin style stretches to find ease & release in our muscles.

New/beginner yogis will love the ease of being able to follow along and learn poses while more advanced yogis will enjoy being able to deepen their yoga practice by focusing on breath & balance.
