About Wellness at The Meetinghouse
Wellness at the Meetinghouse invites you to come as you are to gather as a community. In yoga, our practice is a breath centered moving meditation. We offer many options to explore what works for your body in that given breath. Throughout the practice we begin to move past focusing on just the physical poses and into thinking about how we can begin to allow the practice to strengthen our mental muscle and flexibility. For additional information and descriptions of classes and workshops please view the schedule tab.
In-studio classes are held at The Meetinghouse at 605 Ridgebury Rd, Ridgefield, CT.

Our Teachers
Claire Walker Moffatt
In April 2024, Claire joined The Meetinghouse as the yoga teacher and Wellness in Residence. Claire completed her 500-hour Power and Vinyasa yoga certification through Lyn Kehoe Power Yoga and is registered with Yoga Alliance. Claire has been practicing yoga since the late 1990s beginning with Iyengar, she also explored Hatha and Vinyasa before finding Power. Claire brings compassion and commitment to her yoga classes, creating a supportive community for her students that puts the breath at the center of the practice while still challenging the mind and body.
Claire is a mom of two and a former suit wearing executive. She’s also a certified holistic health coach focusing on bioindividuality as the basic guide to help her clients find their unique path toward health. Yoga teaches us how to apply the yoga on and off our mats, and bioindividuality serves her clients in a similar manner – teaching them to find their authentic self already inside to foster the healthiest version of themselves that they can be. She received her training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
In 2020 and 2021, Claire successfully passed her Pilates Mat 1, 2 &3 training at Power Pilates. And completed her Barre training level 1 & 2 at BarSculpt.

Kristy Liesegang
Kristy Liesegang is a longtime Ridgefield native and has lived in this great town for over 40 years. She is married and has two children, ages 21 and 19. As a young mother, Kristy discovered power yoga in 2012 through a running friend. At first, she used yoga to balance out her tight hamstrings and hips. However, Kristy soon realized that not only did she gain more flexibility and mobility in her body, but she found that her practice created more space in her mind.
Through Lyn Kehoe Power Yoga, Kristy became a certified yoga instructor and taught weekly from 2018-2023. During that time, she became fascinated with healing and the human spirit’s connection. Kristy decided to get certified in Reiki Second Degree in October 2020. Soon after that, she completed a 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training, took a number of Qigong classes, trained in Yin Yoga, participated in sound healing sessions, and obtained a Master Level of the Usui System of Reiki Energy Healing. Currently, Kristy conducts private yoga and reiki sessions at her home. She also volunteers weekly at Ann’s Place and Ridgefield Visiting Nurse providing Reiki treatments to patients, as well as, staff members. In January 2025, Kristy joined The Meetinghouse team to provide yoga instruction for their growing community.
Kristy’s approach to yoga is about the balance between strength and flexibility for all levels. She incorporates unique meditation exercises, breathwork, and offers pose adjustments (even in the final resting pose Savasana). When teaching, Kristy aspires to motivate students to look beyond their physical selves and challenge their minds and bodies in a healing way.
