The first time I was introduced to this technique I was in a middle of a panic attack, within 3 min I came back to my senses, to myself. I felt more calm and able to catch a breath. To this day I still use it and it blows my mind every time.
This technique can be done standing, laying down or seating down, if you are on a couch you don't need to have your spine straight you can just lean in whatever way feels comfortable to you.
