Description
In this workshop we will take a walk to explore the natural landscape near
Nurture and mindfully gather natural materials.
We will use organic matter to create unique mark-making on clay, understanding the physicality of plant matter through texture.
You will be guided to follow an intuitive making process and have the option to create functional or decorative pieces.
Please be mindful of muddy paths when attending the walking part of the workshop and dress accordingly. In the case of adverse weather conditions alternative arrangements for gathering materials will be made.
After the workshop your pieces will be fired and glazed in a choice of your colour, and will be available to collect and take home for you to cherish.
t&c: Cancellation can be made up to 24 hours before the workshop (this is due to the preparation of materials for each participant)
Artist Bio: Emily Seville is Manchester based visual artist and meditation practitioner specialising in hand-built sculptural ceramics and watercolour painting. As both a practitioner and facilitator, her focus is on the connection between nature and wellbeing. Through her practice and workshops, she employs a meditative, slow-making process and encourages an intuitive approach to making.
