Session 1: We Are All in This Together - Change is Possible | Mindfulness for Social Change
Deb PhelpsMarch 15 2024 • Duration: 34 Minutes
This is the first session in a series. These days, we are in unprecedented times. Our smartphone, computer, and TV screens are constantly abuzz with news of the suffering of people locally and around the world. We can say that the tools of meditation can develop skillful states of mind. However, it may not be enough. Even those who practice mindfulness may feel the call to be out there on the streets, helping others, and demanding action from our government representatives and our communities. With mindfulness, we can find balance as we overcome negative emotions and develop the courage to act skillfully in our communities.
This series is based on and will include excerpts from "Real Change" by Sharon Salzberg.
