Description

Join us at the Balance Wellness Centre in Knaresborough for this class that has been designed to give an introduction to yoga and help you, as a new student, to realise some of the many proven benefits of this ancient practice. It is perfect for you if you’ve felt nervous about the idea of attending a "regular" yoga class and does not require you to have lots of flexibility, balance or strength to get started (yoga will help build these, but they're not a prerequisite!)

The class will introduce you to a wide range of accessible yoga practices that can be used on and off the mat to support improved mental and physical health. This includes different types of yogic breathing that can be used to help manage stress or to give a boost of energy. Movements and stretches that can create more ease in the body and to gently build more strength, flexibility and balance over time. The class will also explore how yoga can be used to aid relaxation, manage a "busy mind" and even help you to get a better night’s sleep.
