About Yoga Squirrel
Ale (pronounced Al-ly) @_yogasquirrel, discovered yoga over a decade ago, when her busy and demanding corporate job meant she looked for ways to take better care of both her body and mind. On her yoga exploration journey, she experienced various styles of this practice, including Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Acro- and Aerial yoga.
However, ultimately, she fell head over heels for Vinyasa Yoga – the style in which she completed her initial 200 hour teacher training. Since, Ale continued to deepen her knowledge through various trainings, including Advanced Inversion-based Ashtanga Vinyasa 300 hour training with Jayaprada Radhika, Daniel Rama and Shakti Bird and the Radiantly Alive Vinyasa 300 hour training in Bali with James Mattingley, Geoff Brooks, Persia Juliet, Mark Das and many other fabulous teachers as well as 50 hour Yin Yoga training in Sydney with Elisha Young and Fraser Guthrie.
Ale has spent most of her teaching years in Oxfordshire but recently moved to Devon to focus more on her family life.
Ale’s classes are uplifting and flowing, the energetic ones are challenging and invigorating while the gentler ones are grounding and relaxing. They always include a moderninterpretation of Yogic Philosophy and combine it with creative sequencing, embodied movement and energising music.
Ale is a certified member of Yoga Alliance US, Yoga Alliance Professionals UK and Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).
