As we step tentatively into the new year, we remind ourselves that this is a time of hibernation, of slow, internal contemplation and nourishment. There is no need to rush. Instead, we turn our gaze inward to strengthen our roots; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. This grounding class inspired by Ganesha works deeply to ground us in the body - through a namaskar (sequence) of standing and squatting postures which invite us to strengthen our physical roots as well as steady the mind and heart. Not without it's share of heat (!) this practice is nourishing for mind, body and soul.
Adaptations provide for all levels. Bring yoga blocks if you have them.
