About True North Yoga Limited
True North Yoga came to me as I was contemplating the purpose of yoga and my teachings. We all find yoga for different reason but a lot of us (including myself) come to yoga for the physical aspects of the practice. Over time it is difficult not to notice the effects on the mind, through the connection with breath and awareness of mind we are able to reduce stress and anxiety in our everyday lives. For me this then led to spirituality, I have been eagerly exploring and learning as much as possible on the subject and feel deeply in tune with the philosophy of yoga.
True North represents your internal compass, the deeper part of self that "knows" (as apposed to "thinks"), your intuition, your true self. As we bring awareness to our practice (through asana, pranayama and meditation) we can acknowledge the consciousness that resides within all living things, we can become more in tune with our own "True North". When we learn to think and act from this place of intuition, self-doubt, ego, insecurities and worries are diminished and we trust that all will be well.
