Saturday, 13 July •
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
4 Ward Street, Kaitaia, Studio
Stephanie Olver
Steph's introduction to Yoga was a Bikram Yoga Class in Newmarket over 15 years ago. One class and she was hooked!
She loved it so much she went to Bikram Teacher Training in LA and then taught for several years on the Gold Coast before returning to teach at multiple Bikram studios in Auckland.
She then went on to add Vinyasa and Yin Yoga to her teaching resume, before moving to Mount Maunganui to run a hot yoga studio for 7 years.
Now back in the Far North Steph is thrilled to be joining us at True North to share her love of yoga.
Join her for a Vinyasa Flow Class Monday's at 12:30 p.m.
Description
Have you heard of Bikram (Hot Yoga) and wondered what all the fuss is about?
Now is your chance to come and try it out for yourself!
This is a great chance to try this style of yoga and to warm up on a winter's day.
What to expect......?
A Bikram class consists of a Standing Series of postures and then a Floor Series making up 26 postures in total. None of the postures flow together so you get to practice just one pose at a time.
Will it be hot? Yes, you're going to sweat.... a LOT!
However, your body will feel SO great afterwards. The idea behind the heat is to help make your body more subtle and easier to move into postures, plus you get the benefits of detoxing through your sweat. Think flushed organs and glowing skin!
NOTE: Be sure to bring a large towel to go over your mat.
