Our breathwork and meditation workshop will focus on various forms of conscious breathing including pranayama and tummo.

We will delve into the science and benefits of the practice and explore deeper openings within the body.

The class will involve learning and practicing breathwork techniques as well as different ways to enter into a state of meditation.

Any level of experience is welcome!

It is encouraged to come on an empty stomach if possible, as we will be activating and influencing our body chemistry through the way we breathe.

Meet Shamal:

Shamal Ratnayake is an artist, yogi, and wellness practitioner who specializes in teaching meditation and breathwork. He leads private and group sessions using the techniques and processes he learned in his unique childhood upbringing. Shamal grew up as a Buddhist monk and was raised and taught by master yogis and monks in the mountain jungle temples of Sri Lanka. Living as a Buddhist monk for most of his childhood and teenage years has instilled a sense of emotional intelligence and passion for spreading joy and mindfulness through eastern meditative practices. Shamal focuses on integrating the geometry of our bodies with subtle rhythms of breath to form a conscious connection with our deeper selves. He is currently working towards completing his Masters in Clinical Mental Health and Social Work to become a licensed therapist.
