Grace of Vinyasa
Description
The beginning of the class will allow you to create a space for reconnection with your inner Self through opening meditation and pranayama (breath extension), which should remain as a part of your practice for the rest of the session. Towards the end, you can expect a grounding sequence in order to slow down the breath and reflect on your experience on the mat.
This session is truly for everyone, all genders, ages and abilities.
The slow and graceful pace of the class will help you to learn how to listen to your body and gain the strength, not just physically, but mentally in the first place.
Everyone in this class is usually encouraged to use the yoga props along with trying many adjustments which are always offered to take in order to explore our boundaries and find the edges.
This Yoga practice is about quieting the fluctuations of the mind and creating a relationship with our mind, rather than being constantly in a separation and uncontrollable fight inside. Through the conscious and mindful movements along with a breath, you will be guided to stay present and take most of the experience off the mat into your daily life.
Every session is a different experience.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi
Description
What is tai chi ?
Perhaps the black and white pattern in a circle like 2 fishes chasing each other or yin and yang comes to one’s mind. …….
“ Si Liang Bo qian Jin “ is a Chinese saying : using 4 ounces strength to move a 1000 pounds weight. This saying is frequently heard in Tai Chi classes around the globe.
This concept is not about one’s size, or even if your opponent is stronger than you are. It is about using tai chi concepts in practical life application.
With this concept we are dealing with “live weight” or moving object, and by applying leverage. But using mind and intent and NOT force.
_
My name is Adrian Ling, I learned tai chi when I was young, from the old master back in Malaysia. I began to take tai chi more seriously for the last 5 to 6 years. And been teaching in community centres, libraries and among friends and families.
I like to introduce the basic tai chi and qi gong to our community, both for wellness and physical health .
We will be working towards learning forms. Eg. Yang style 8, 16, 24, 32 forms.
Or Chen style 18 forms.
These will come to light more when we are physically there. The forms are the building blocks of tai chi.
And tai chi can be translated as : The supreme ultimate.

Unity - Yang Yindalini
Description
Expect energising yin: long, intelligent holds paired with mobility work to support spinal health, joint resilience, and a more spacious range of motion. We’ll weave breath in throughout, and now and then you’ll catch a few “sprinkles” of personal-development psychology
(and the occasional touch of woo ;)
Basia is deeply interested in subtle-body exploration through breath and embodiment, and is continually evolving her approach through study of fascia, meridians, mobility, myofascial release, and the dynamic range of breathwork.
At times we may include a short cycle of circular breathing (around 5–10 minutes). Even brief rounds can feel surprisingly impactful, supporting nervous-system settling, pattern interruption, and a clearer sense of presence.
This isn’t a fixed formula; it’s a living practice and a shared experiment. The intention is to explore - together - how energy can be alchemised into a more harmonious relationship with life.
Feedback, curiosity, and openness are warmly welcomed and very helpful.
See you on the mat :)
LAST Primal Movement Flow

LAST Primal Movement Flow
Description
During this session we ask ourselves "what would I be like if I had never sat in a chair or been able to get my food from walking around a busy supermarket. What would my body feel like if I had to run, climb and move just to survive".
This session is a discovery session, with yoga as the key vehicle. Balance, strength in posture and finding new movement patterns.
Special Notes: Set around vinyasa, expect some workshop moments and non-yogic movements.
You may sweat.

Integral Wake Up
Description
According to Sri Aurobindo, all life is Yoga, while Yoga as a sadhana (disciplined and dedicated practice or learning) is a methodised effort towards self-perfection, which brings to expression the latent, hidden potentialities of being. Success in this effort unifies the human individual with the universal and transcendental Existence. Integral yoga reunites "the infinite in the finite, the timeless in the temporal and the transcendent with the immanent.

Description
We will primarily explore what happens at the boundaries of our movements - the moment the stretch reflex contracts against a movement or how it shifts from one part of your body to the next as we flow, and how we move past that space into deeper ranges of motion.

This session is free, or pay as you wish, or you can go for non-monetary exchange and bring a smile or a candle.
Yoga is for everyone and this is an open session for all levels. There will be time after the session for chai and chats!...

YOGA / COMMUNITY / MOVEMENT / DISCOVERY
Yoga in the Stars is a project by The Metahealth Movement, a not-for-profit working towards elevated health.
In 2022 £9,943 was donated to Yoga in the Stars by The National Lottery Community Fund for a special new project The Yoga-Social!
The project has been to create a space for people to come together around health and well-being. A free space to practice yoga, breathwork, movement, dance, tai chi and talk about health, food and lifestyle. Use the studio equipment and space in an open, inclusive and fun way. Expect spontaneous workshops and sessions, as well as a dedicated self-practice space, and we hope to invite other local yoga teachers to host sessions and workshops throughout the year to help grow and enrich the community.
Reach out to us with ideas.
Yoga really is for everyone, it’s a personal thing, and is a lifestyle choice that goes way beyond the mat and into every aspect of life, and we hope that this grant helps you to explore what this can mean for you as we discover together.
#NationalLottery and the National Lottery players, thank you!
