Determined to share this with the athletic world, I trained in a Diploma of Contemporary Pilates and went on to start a Pilates Studio on the Sunshine Coast. During this time I was blessed to work with aged clients and found my true love of Pilates, helping everyday people to manage their pain and improve their quality of life.

I went to my first yoga class at age 16 and there I found my love of Yoga, loving the sense of calm that it gave me. I have continued to practice Yoga throughout my life on and off from then on. I completed my RYT-200 hr teaching through Santosha Yoga Institute in 2022, where I learnt Hatha and Vinyasa style yoga and the principles and philosophies drawn from the Sri T Krishnamacharya lineage. I am currently working on my 50hr Yin Yoga training through Santosha Yoga Institute.

Description

A Yin yoga class consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer. This is a beautiful way to connect to mind, body and spirit. Accessible all levels

In this class we practice traditional yoga stretches and poses, whilst being seated or supported by chair or wall. It is a wonderful class to move the body in a supported and nurturing space, and welcomes EVERY body to a very accessible practice. We breath, stretch, relax and laugh - building strength and flexibility to keep us moving and upright! Great for those recovering form injury or people who don't like to get up and down off floor.

These monthly 1.5 hour workshops are designed to create deep rest in the body, and down regulate the nervous system. Offering ourselves space to PAUSE is an act of self love and self preservation. These workshops blend hatha restorative and yin yoga, with iRest Yoga Nidra, breath work, mudra and essential oils - to find peace, joy and balance. No previous yoga experience required.
