Get your week kicked off right with mindful movement and intention-setting in this 8:30am hatha yoga class. We'll match movement to breath and intention, building just enough heat, and spend time in some quiet, deeper stretches, as well. It's the perfect way to get your mind and body ready to tackle a new week.

Rachel (CYT 500) began practicing yoga in 2014 at Brick House Yoga in Sulphur Springs. She was training for a half-marathon at the time and wanted to use yoga to prevent injury and aid in stress relief to reduce migraine headaches. While a yoga practice was perfect for both of these goals, she found so much more on the mat. Without a doubt, the yoga mat is the first place she has ever experienced complete non-judgment. It is where she learned self-acceptance, presence and stillness--and it is where she started a journey of self-discovery that continues today. In short, yoga changed her life. She holds additional certification in Restorative, Yin and Trauma Informed Yoga and has a special interest in teaching body-positive classes and classes geared for beginners.
Description
Empower Hour will focus on working through traditional postures, seated and standing, by matching breath to movement throughout the practice. Class will start with slow centering techniques, including stress release and intention-setting, in order to get the most out of the practice and carry the benefit throughout the rest of our day/week. This class will move with intention incorporating poses that focus on larger muscle groups in controlled movements to build foundation and encourage grounding. This class is specifically designed to allow you to tap into your own power, mentally and physically. You will leave this practice feeling centered, encouraged, and ready to move in and through the world with confidence and strength, recognizing that you already have all that you will ever need, that you are enough. The class is suitable for all levels, and modifications will be explained to allow for decreasing or increasing levels of practice.

Join us for One Soul Yoga’s free monthly New Moon Flow with Emma scheduled for Monday, September 2 at 8 pm. This class, open to all levels, is designed to harness the potent energy of the New Moon in Virgo. The September New Moon is calling for us to bring the chaotic and disorganized aspects of life back in order, while trusting in the imperfections. This special session offers a unique opportunity to set new intentions, release what no longer serves you, and align with the natural cycles of the moon.

Clarice is a 200-RYT who earned her certification in 2023 at One Soul Yoga. She has practiced
yoga since 1990 in various locations across the globe and has attended and taught yoga retreats in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and overseas in Greece, Costa Rica, Germany, Sweden, Austria, and Italy. Clarice is skilled in Hatha Yoga, familiar with Yin yoga, and restorative yoga. In addition, Clarice holds certification as a Master Herbalist and is interested in Holistic Health and wellness. Clarice feels that yoga and meditation have given her the framework for a healthy happy life, and she enjoys the practice and teachings of yoga. Clarice wants to offer the mobility and flexibility benefits of yoga to everyone. Aging with full mobility and flexibility is a personal goal of hers.

Lunch Flow: Move is a shortened gentle 40-minute midday practice to help you gain flexibility, balance and strength while flowing through yoga postures linked with breath. Class will start with centering and breath control and then flow through seated, standing and supine postures. This shortened practice is a perfect way to boost your productivity and help get you through the mid-day slump. Practice always ends in savasana to bring you back to your center. This class is suitable for all levels and variations will be offered to help increase or decrease your practice needs.

Power Flow is an active-full body vinyasa-based class open to all levels. This class incorporates breath to movement and intervals of low and high intensity. Power Flow aids in alignment, strength and mobility. Stretch, open, engage and move the body to balance and energize the mind, body and soul. Join us for a transformative journey through the chakras in DeAnna’s Candlelight Immersion Chakra Series starting Tuesday, September 9 at 8 pm. Each week, we focus on a different chakra, combining the power of yoga and sound healing to bring balance and harmony to your energy centers.
The series will conclude on October 22 with an integration session that includes a chakra meditation and full chakra sound bath. We will use gentle yoga stretching, meditation and sound healing (such as the ocean drum, crystal singing bowls, tuning forks) to open the body’s subtle energy and encourage the release of blockages. Align your subtle body energy during a private tuning fork session with DeAnna. DeAnna has trained in the Biofield Tuning method and will use these techniques along with other intuitive techniques based on your needs.
Non-weighted tuning forks are used around the body to connect and support the body’s natural frequencies and help bring imbalances back in order. The vibrations of the forks carry deeply into the body and along energy pathways which are known to affect us mentally and physically. A tuning fork session is holistic in nature and may help address energetic imbalances, relax and de-stress the body, boost the immune system and stimulate mental and physical well-being.
During a chakra tuning fork session, we start with a basic chakra assessment and participant rests on a massage table (fully clothed). Specially calibrated non-weighted forks and other sound instruments (such as singing bowls) are then used around and near the body to help remove blockages, release stagnant energy, and restore balance to the body’s energetic system. If participant wishes, DeAnna will discuss any results afterwards.
The benefits may include:
• Balance and alignment: By using specific frequencies associated with each chakra, sound therapy can help balance and align the energy centers, creating optimal flow of energy throughout the body.

Have just a few minutes to spare for yoga? Stretch & Flow Express is a shortened version of the 8:00 am class. This 40-minute mid-day class focuses mainly on deep stretching and slow-moving sequences held for several breaths to help loosen the body and reduce tension. The slower pace allows each individual to explore their own postures and alignment to deepen their practice. Emma earned her 200-hour certification from One Soul Yoga in 2023.She started her yoga journey at One Soul in 2021 and fell in love with the atmosphere of the studio and the benefits of yoga. She would love to provide those same feelings for others through her classes - creating a safe, judgment-free space to work on our practice. Her other passions are coffee, plants, and books. Her loves are her husband and her dogs!
Description
Active Flow is a vinyasa-based yoga class that links breath to movement. This faster-paced class helps move and work the body while building strength, stamina and balance. Active Flow is open to all levels—variations are suggested to help make this practice your own. Active Flow always ends in savasana to help bring the mind and body back to center.

Clarice is a 200-RYT who earned her certification in 2023 at One Soul Yoga. She has practiced
yoga since 1990 in various locations across the globe and has attended and taught yoga retreats in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and overseas in Greece, Costa Rica, Germany, Sweden, Austria, and Italy. Clarice is skilled in Hatha Yoga, familiar with Yin yoga, and restorative yoga. In addition, Clarice holds certification as a Master Herbalist and is interested in Holistic Health and wellness. Clarice feels that yoga and meditation have given her the framework for a healthy happy life, and she enjoys the practice and teachings of yoga. Clarice wants to offer the mobility and flexibility benefits of yoga to everyone. Aging with full mobility and flexibility is a personal goal of hers.
Description
Let's move, shake, play and flow to the rhythm in this fun and active class for adults! This class will explore the use of props for variations on poses (hula hoops, straps, blocks). We move and flow with Ecstatic Dance music to keep us motivated and active for most of the class. A wind down and savasana in the last 15 minutes brings us back to a peaceful ending to our practice. This class is fast paced and is good for all levels of students who are active and willing to dance, play and shake their bodies!

Join one of the One Soul instructors on Saturday morning for Saturday Flow to get your weekend moving. This class will vary each week depending on the instructor but will focus on a sequenced practice that encourages alignment, balance and mind/ body connection. This class will end in a relaxing savasana to help you release and connect within. Saturday Flow is appropriate for all skill levels and variations will be offered to increase or decrease your practice needs.

DeAnna McDearmont
DeAnna (E-RYT 500, YACEP) is a co-owner and instructor at One Soul who initially began her yoga training to deepen her own personal practice and soon found a love of leading others through their yoga journey. Her belief is that everyone can benefit from yoga both mentally and physically. DeAnna likes teaching a slower paced class that emphasizes mind/body awareness, breathing and deep stretching. She loves to learn and is constantly broadening her yogic knowledge to share with others. She has a special interest in the chakra system, sound healing and meditation. She holds practitioner certification in Sound Healing as well as 200-hour Kundalini, Meditation, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Trauma Informed Yoga.

Rise and shine! Join April (one of our yoga teacher trainees) for Sunrise Sunday Flow at 6:30 am. Practicing yoga first thing in the morning is a perfect way to set your daily intention and give your day a boost. Early morning is considered the “divine time” in yogic discipline—as you are able to better connect with your mind, body and spirit before the daily distractions begin. Sunrise Sunday Flow will help you boost your energy, bring you peace of mind and help you with focus as you move through your day. This class will be held outside just as the sun rises on our beautiful yoga platform, weather permitting. We will take it inside the studio if needed.

Rachel (CYT 500) began practicing yoga in 2014 at Brick House Yoga in Sulphur Springs. She was training for a half-marathon at the time and wanted to use yoga to prevent injury and aid in stress relief to reduce migraine headaches. While a yoga practice was perfect for both of these goals, she found so much more on the mat. Without a doubt, the yoga mat is the first place she has ever experienced complete non-judgment. It is where she learned self-acceptance, presence and stillness--and it is where she started a journey of self-discovery that continues today. In short, yoga changed her life. She holds additional certification in Restorative, Yin and Trauma Informed Yoga and has a special interest in teaching body-positive classes and classes geared for beginners.
Description
Restorative Yoga helps you deeply relax into longer held supported asanas (yoga poses). Using bolsters, blankets and blocks you will be guided through a series of poses that supports and activates your parasympathetic nervous system. This class aids in deep relaxation, stress relief and muscle recovery. It will always end in a brief guided meditation and savasana. This class is ideal for all levels.
