Hello! My name is Ellie. I have been practicing yoga on and off since my teens, but really committed to my practice around 3 years ago after struggling with my mental health. Movement and breathwork became a vital tool, helping me reconnect with my body, find grounding, and discover a welcoming community. I completed my 200hrs teacher training with the brilliant Ailith Anderson at East Side Yoga in 2024. My goal as a teacher is to create a supportive space where students can reconnect with their inner strength and resilience. Through mindful movement and a sense of curiosity, I aim to help others explore their potential and uncover new facets of themselves.

With nearly a decade of teaching experience, Louise loves welcoming individuals with a range of yoga experience in her classes. She strives to create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, leaving space for spirituality and self reflection without making the process too serious! A former professional dancer, Louise is a bit of an anatomy geek, developing your strength and mobility in a safe and balanced way. Her classes can be physically demanding, balanced with plenty of rest and freedom to make the practice your own. Inspired by her own journey, Louise is passionate about using movement and yoga to help people feel more at home in their bodies.

Description

Strong and Slow is a slow vinyasa-style flow class. The slowing down of movement and breath helps to facilitate a mindful and focused experience, and an opportunity to more deeply understand the physical intricacies of each pose. This class provides balance to the frantic nature of most of our daily lives, allowing you to strengthen, stretch, and relax your body and mind. Options and modifications will be offered for different levels of experience, bodies, or energy levels.

No previous yoga experience required, however this class is not suitable for those with significantly impaired mobility.

Hello I am Moni. I’ve been practising yoga for 15 years, on and off, but it truly became a vital part of my life after I experienced a hormonal imbalance in my early 30s. In my search for healing, I explored breathwork, meditation, and various therapies, but ultimately found yoga to be the most effective tool for nurturing both my body and mind. It has instilled in me a sense of patience and resilience, transforming how I approach life’s challenges. I’ve completed over 200 hours of RYT Vinyasa training in my home country of Mexico, and I hope to guide you through your practice and inspire you to discover your own path to balance.

Description

Vinyasa flow is a practice of seamlessly flowing between postures, with breath. Classes will vary each week, but will always start with a meditation, before moving through a sequence which will warm up, strengthen and stretch the body. All of this happens alongside a focus on quieting the mind to find a balance between effort and ease. We end by slowing down into deep rest. Offering options for different experience levels, bodies or energy, this class will build mobility and strength through a wide range of movements while cultivating focus and calm.

Bex strives to create a warm and inviting space in which to explore Yoga both externally through the physical practice and internally through self reflection, observation and awareness. Yoga has been instrumental in helping Bex feel content within her body and at ease within her mind. Bex has a creative approach to sequencing which invites in play, curiosity and compassion for ourselves as we navigate our practice and our experience within it, which in turn helps us navigate the world around us and how we move through life.

Bex will be teaching a Mandala flow which moves in a circular pathway around the mat connecting movement to breath. The classes are themed around four elements and four body areas. Each practice will begin and end with Yin postures to encourage balance and calm.

This class is best suited to you if you are familiar with practicing yoga.
