Strong and Slow is a slow vinyasa-style flow class. The slowing down of movement and breath helps to facilitate a mindful and focused experience, and an opportunity to more deeply understand the physical intricacies of each pose. This class provides balance to the frantic nature of most of our daily lives, allowing you to strengthen, stretch, and relax your body and mind. Options and modifications will be offered for different levels of experience, bodies, or energy levels.

No previous yoga experience required, however this class is not suitable for those with significantly impaired mobility.

Vinyasa flow is a practice of seamlessly flowing between postures, with breath. Classes will vary each week, but will always start with a meditation, before moving through a sequence which will warm up, strengthen and stretch the body. All of this happens alongside a focus on quieting the mind to find a balance between effort and ease. We end by slowing down into deep rest. Offering options for different experience levels, bodies or energy, this class will build mobility and strength through a wide range of movements while cultivating focus and calm.

My vinyasa classes always begin slowly with a pranayama and meditation, a quick warm-up for the wrists and shoulders and body as we work our way up to our vinyasa sequence. We will always wind the body down slowly with a closing sequence and finish in savasana or corpse pose, our final meditative resting pose, to let all the energy balancing work integrate into the body.
As always, you will be encouraged to take the opportunity to make the practice completely your own, take rest when you need it or choose from the many options to modify or amplify asana depending on what your body wants or needs. Modifications and amplifications are always offered and props (yoga blocks, straps, and blankets and cushions) are encouraged and included. Listen to your body – it and you are your best teacher.

In Noelles Yin class you will be encouraged in this mindful style of yoga to allow your body to stretch passively, holding poses for up to 5 minutes at a time. A slow paced class suitable for everyone. This is a well rounded slow-flow class. Accessible yoga postures and gentle creative flow sequences that encourage breath-led movement are at the heart of this grounding and relaxing practice. The calm and controlled strength, stretching and breathing exercises provide and safe and natural way to manage both physical and mental well-being.

Mobility is an often overlooked practice which can aid athletes in performance and recovery. In practising mobility in a relaxed, judgement free and slow paced environment - we minimise risk of injury and strain while also incorporating physical and mental de-stress and mindfulness.
